My bikes

I got in to riding in 2005 – first of all I bought a 50cc scooter before I got the bug to go a little faster. So I bought a second hand Suzuki TU250x, a 250cc single cylinder bike that struggled to do 100 kmh:

I then wanted to go a little faster again, and still having about 10 months left to complete on my 250cc bike license I decided to buy a brand spanking new Honda VTR250 – very sexy bike once I changed the bars and bits and pieces:

As my time on a 250 drew to a close I purchased a shop demo Honda CB900 Hornet and proceeded to make that look ‘pretty’ and loud by adding drag bars, D&D cans and Sato rear sets. At first the 900 felt huge but after a while I got used to its width and weight compared to the 250. It does go faster, naturally, than a 250 but the VTR sounded wonderful with its Roo pipe – though the Hornet’s D&D pipes are warming up after time:

Four two wheel forms of transport in less than 24 months – expensive ‘hobby’!
