xvs1100A Yamaha V-Star Classic

I decided to get a cruiser earlier this year – a change down form riding sports orientated bikes. Sold the Honda Hornet 900 and went with the Yamaha XVS1100A V-Star Classic – a classic cruiser styled bike with lots of chrome. These are pics not long after having the white-wall tyres put on as well as some chrome trim items.

Alpaca Run 23-12-06

The Alpaca Run was a bike ride I used to run through the hills east and south of Perth, WA for about 15 months. It was a good run with no traffic lights and taking some of Perth’s limited twisting roads – some days the ride ran smoothly with little to no traffic, other days is sucked. In the end organising the Alpaca Run became a chore – heading out from home at 10:30 on a Saturday morning and getting back around 3:00 in the afternoon – then another couple of hours of sorting and then uploading the photos to the PSB forum – too much like hard work in the end! Anyhow, these are bike photos from the 23-12-2006 Alpaca run

Making a Difference Ride 2007 Bike Pics – Part C

Part C: I used to be involved with a charity taking photos, designing and maintaining its website and other design stuff – not anymore – it was a somewhat thankless job. These are pics of bikes I took at the last M.A.D. Ride I attended in 2007 – these are the final 19 in this series so may take time to load…

People 01

Unlike bikes, people can get rather pissed off if you take photos of them – cats on the other hand tend not to care either way. These are some of the favourite pics of people I have shot – with a camera that is 8!

Some favourite bike pics

I like taking photos of motor bikes – they a generally colourful, shiny and stay very still when no one is riding them – unlike people and cats who tend not to be still unless they are sleeping…

My Cats

My cats – Bill, Ben and Bonny. Bill and Ben are brothers who I obtained from the RSPCA when they were around 7 weeks old. Bonny decided to come live with us when she was around 6 months old. Bill and Ben fight (Ben is the Top Cat, though Bill does win every so often). Bonny is a real “little princess” at times though also shows that motherly instinct as she is getting older…

My bikes

I got in to riding in 2005 – first of all I bought a 50cc scooter before I got the bug to go a little faster. So I bought a second hand Suzuki TU250x, a 250cc single cylinder bike that struggled to do 100 kmh:
